Interactive Installation called ‘Masquerade’ built as my final Design Thesis (2017)

For my final Bachelors thesis, I built an 8ft by 8ft wood container that was a walk through installation, divided into 4 rooms. The first room was a classroom, the second room had a yellow floral wallpaper, the third room was full of mobile phone print outs, and the fourth was a tiny claustrophobic room full of mirrors with a hidden door. Every room, had a sensor active audio and visual experience, where the viewer experienced how an individual in todays world has lost its own identity becoming a mass product. The last room, which depicted self reflection, proved to be a social experiment, where viewers unable to find their way out, mostly went back from where they come from, while a small percentage pushed through those mirrors, coming outside to a new start.

The social experiment, was based on self reflection, where the entire campaign was imagined to be part of a non-profit. Bumper stickers, videos, social media posts and souvenirs were made part of the thesis.
